Big Boy Bed

We had a busy week, but the most exciting event was Jackson moving from his toddler bed to his big boy bed. Jackson told Todd and I he was ready for his big bed. On Saturday Jackson helped Todd put the bed together and then helped me put the sheets on. He was very excited for the whole family to lay in his bed with him. He kept saying " Thank you mommy and daddy for my new bed and for putting new blankets on it." It was so cute.
On Wednesday Jackson stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa Olenech's house. They got up early on Thursday and went to the Toledo Zoo. Jackson had a great time seeing all the animals especially the monkeys and the hippos. While Jackson was away on Wednesday we had our good friends Anthony and Nevada over for dinner with their little boy Gabriel. Gabriel is two weeks older than Aubrin.
On Friday Jackson and Aubrin had a play date with their friend Avery. The kids played on Avery's playscape, at the water table and riding toys in the driveway. Thanks for sharing all of your toys Avery!
We are patiently waiting for summer weather to come back so we can play in the pool. Maybe next week:)

We had a great week. Our nephew Nate turned six so we celebrated his birthday at Grandma and Papa Millers house. The kids went swimming and had a great time. Jackson is getting very comfortable in the pool. He wears his tube and kicks his little legs so he can move about the pool on his own. Aubrin loves to splash in the water. We went to Milford Park to watch the fish swim in the stream and play on the play scape. Jackson has a new fascination with fishing and just got his very own fishing pole. Aubrin zooms through the house in her little red car. Our poor walls. We were going to get the inside of our house painted, but I think we will hold off until our little love learns how to turn the car instead of running into the walls:) Aubrin's newest word attempt is Jack. She just adores her big brother. Grandma Olenech and Great Grandma Doughty came over for a visit and lunch this weekend. Jackson loved trapping grandma in the tunnel. He also enjoyed sitting and having "coffee" with his great grandma.

Baseball Practice

Today Jackson was very excited to go help his daddy coach at baseball practice. He went upstairs in his room and got everything he would need to look like Daddy~ shorts, t-shirt to match all of the players, hat, cleats and his glove. Jackson loves to go to practice and play catch with the boys and sit in the dugout just like the "big boys" do.

Hess-Hathaway Park

Today we ventured to a new park. It had a small farm with lots of animals and a great play area for the kids. Jackson had a great time exploring the climbing structures and slides. Aubrin loved swinging, playing in the sand and watching all of the other kids.

Summer Fun

Last week we visited a lot with Aunt Erin, Uncle Jayson and the babies. Gandma and Grandpa Olenech got Jackson and Aubrin a new water table to play with when we play at their house. They had a great time. Aubrin just has to work on keep the water in the tub and not all of her:) Jackson's friend Chloe was in town visiting last week. They had a great time bouncing in the bouncy, playing golf and being silly.

Today Aubrin and Jackson spent the morning and afternoon with Grandpa Olenech. They took walks, played golf, and played in the sand table. I spent the afternoon with my sister and my beautiful niece and nephew. They are such happy little babies. In the evening the kids and I went to Grandma and Papa Miller's for swimming and dinner. Aubrin loves to play in the water and splash. Jackson was learning to kick his legs in the water to swim in the pool. He was feeling very proud.

play, play, play

Jackson and Aubrin were not feeling very well for a couple of days. They got up from their naps yesterday and were feeling good and ready to play! We had our friend Mary over with her boys Camden and Nolan. The kids had a great time playing in the pool, squirting each other with the water squirters and playing in the playroom. Today the kids and I went to City Park in Milford. Jackson had a great time going down the slides, walking on the balance beam and hanging from the bars. Aubrin loves to swing and watch the other kids. This evening we got together with our friends Michele and Maddie at another park and then went for ice cream. What a great day we had. We miss daddy, but we are filling our days with sunshine and play!

Happy 4th of July

We had such a great 4th of July. We spent the day with my family at my aunt and uncle's house. Aubrin went swimming in the pool with grandpa, while Jackson had a great time dumping water on grandpa's head. Erin and her family were also at the party. They are in town for the next week. I can't get over how big Will and Emerson are getting. They are just the sweetest little things ever. We came home and did a few fireworks in our backyard before Jackson went to sleep. He thought sparklers were the greatest things. We tried to keep him up to watch the big fireworks, but he was ready for bed. We hope everyone had a festive day.
