On Thursday we got up early and went to Animal Kingdom.We headed straight to the back to get our Fast Pass for the Safari. Once we had that in hand we headed to the Lion King show. What an awesome show filled with singing, dancing and amazing gymnastics. It was also great because it was air conditioned and it was HOT! 
We found a fun little cove filled with gigantic fish. Between the fish and the tortoise we found, the kids were pretty excited. We loved that we could get so close to them. 
Then it was time for our safari ride. I was a bit bummed that it was so hot and had a feeling that the animals wouldn't be very active, but I was wrong. The animals were every where and also very close to our jeep. I would have to say that this was probably our favorite thing at Animal Kingdom. 
We had a character lunch scheduled at The Tusker House. The kids were really excited to have lunch with Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey.
Of course as soon as we saw Donald Aubrin shimmied up my leg and would not go near him, but she would do a group picture. She only got nervous with the male characters and took a bit longer to warm up to. We had a yummy lunch while visiting with the characters. 
As we were sitting and waiting for the afternoon parade to start it got a bit cloudy and looked like rain. It was about 10 minutes into the parade and it was a down pour.
With being in the parade route there was no place to go, so we embraced the rain and loved the parade. After the parade we headed back towards the shuttle the head back to the hotel. It seemed that the rain we there to stay for a bit. I'm glad we did because it rained hard for 2 hours. When we got back to our room their were balloons waiting for the kids. It was a nice surprise.
After the rain let up we headed to the pool. Along the way we stopped and roasted marshmallows on the beach. It was a nice treat since we were eating a late dinner.
The pool was a bit chilly after all the rain, but it didn't seem to phase the kids. I think they would have stayed in the pool all night going down the water slides if they could have. 
After dinner we found hammocks on the beach to watch the fireworks. It was a perfect way to end a great day.
At 2:30am Jackson got sick. I felt so bad for him. Why do kids have to throw up in the middle of the night...in bed? UGH! Poor guy. He didn't have a fever and said his stomach didn't hurt. We had house keeping bring up new sheets. Once we changed sheets he went back to bed and slept until morning. Of course I was freaking out because Jackson, Aubrin and I all shared a drink that day. I was thinking we were all going to get sick and our vacation was over!!! Jack woke up the next morning feeling better, but not great. He was just dragging a bit. We told him that we didn't have to go to a park and that we could just stay at the hotel and relax for the day, but he was pretty sure he wanted to head to Hollywood Studios for the day. He had some dry cereal for breakfast and said he was good to go. I'm not sure if Jack got a bit of what Todd had or he had a yucky stomach from too many treats...
Once we got to Hollywood Studios Jackson's stomach was hurting and we found ourselves walking a bit slower and sitting a lot. He was very sure that we were not going back to the hotel. We went to get in line to see the Toy Story characters and Jackson said he just needed to sit. 
The staff at Disney is awesome. They let Todd and Aubrin wait in line and when it was our turn they came and got Jackson and I from sitting outside in the shade. 
After a snack and something to drink Jackson started to pick up a bit of steam. We ran into a few more characters and got a few more autographs.
We saw a few different shows- the car stunt show which was so fun, but super loud. It was one that Aubrin kept her fingers in her ears the whole time. Jackson LOVED it. We also went and saw Beauty and the Beast. 
We also made it onto the Toy Story ride. Jackson loved the ride because it's exactly the same as the Toy Story Wii game that we have. As we were leaving the park it started to rain (hard) again! The weather was just not cooperating with us.
When we got back to the hotel we headed to the pool for a swim in the rain. It was a tough start to the day with Jackson getting sick, but the day ended great!
